Deputy Manager

Location: Yellowbird Selby Road

As an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager, you will  play a pivotal role in establishing and managing our residential home. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home, delivering the highest standards of care and support to the children.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the leadership and management of the residential home.

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards.

  •  Provide support and supervision to a team of care staff, fostering their professional growth.

  • Develop and maintain care plans tailored to individual children’s needs.

  • Promote a positive and homely atmosphere for the children.

  • Manage rotas, staff schedules, and sleep-in duties.

  •  Work collaboratively with families, schools, and external professionals.

 

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary of £32,000 per annum.

  • Sleep-in allowance of £6,000 per year.

About You:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a children’s residential setting.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential; Level 5 is desirable.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

  • A passion for improving the lives of young people.
